About me

Hi. I'm Jessica. I was born and raised in a small town in upstate New York.  I went to college near Canada where I met the love of my life, Ryan. We've been together now for almost 7 years and time is seriously flying!

In our last year of college we rescued our retriever mix Aspen aka Scups (basically I went with a friend to the pound, fell in love, and just showed up with him one day!) but it all worked out and we made a cute little trio.

We graduated in 2010 and after dealing with years of freezing cold winters we decided to pack our bags and move to sunny south Florida where Ryan grew up and have been living here ever since.

We expanded our little family three years ago when we made the 12 hour journey to South Carolina (6 there and back) to pick up our sweet Newfoundland puppy Brody...

...who quickly grew up to be a giant slobbery fur ball who thinks he rules the house.

The four of us have been living it up here in sunny south Florida the last few years!

Then, while on vacation in Key West, Ryan proposed at one of our favorite restaurants, and of course I said yes!

We got married January 16, 2015 and it was such a magical day.

Ryan and I were in a big how I met your mother kick so the groomsmen gifts were "suit up" cuff links and Ryan's were "legend-dary" ..Barney Stinson would be proud haha.

There is nothing like marrying your best friend with everyone you love surrounding you!

Then in June we got the surprise of a lifetime when I found out I was pregnant! Suddenly we were not just a young couple with two "fur babies", but a couple who were about to become parents! 

Miles Edward Giffin due February 21, 2016. Nothing could have prepared us for the roller coaster ride of pregnancy, and the joy of feeling kicks, hearing his heartbeat and being able to see how fast he's growing at the ultrasound appointments. We both couldn't be more excited and ready to start this new chapter in our lives!
